Opening an existing web page
First Page 2006 provides several ways to open an existing web page:
Open a web page on your local machine or network
Open a web page from the Internet
Import the contents of a text file into an open web page
To open an existing web page:
To open a local web page, click on the File > Open... menu option, navigate to the required web page, and double-click on it.
To open a web page from the Internet:
Click on the File > Open From Web... menu option.
Enter the address in the URL field.
If you want to save the document locally, click on the Save to local system radio button and browse to the required directory using the
button.
Click on the
button.If you are accessing the Internet via a proxy, you enter those settings by clicking on the button and entering the required information.
To import the contents of a text file into the currently open web page, click on the File > Import > Text File (.txt) menu option, navigate to the required web page, and double-click on it.
